Jayalakshmi South Indian Cuisine

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had very tasty and yummy South Indian food at Jayalakshmi Restaurant in Brantford. The quality is excellent, and it truly reminded us of authentic food back home. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. If you’re looking for real South Indian taste, this is the place to go! Highly recommended.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review: We tried Jayalakshmi South Indian Cuisine and loved it! The food tasted so authentic — especially the Paneer Dosa and Madurai Chicken Dosa, both were flavorful and perfectly crispy. The Parota and Chicken Fry combo reminded us of real South Indian street-style taste. The Veg Fried Rice and Noodles were also delicious — not oily, just the right spice. And the Onion Pakoda was super crunchy, perfect for a snack! The service was friendly and portions were generous. Definitely a must-try place if you love authentic South Indian food. Favorites: Madurai Chicken Dosa , Paneer Dosa , and Onion Pakoda

We have visited Jayalakshmi a few times now on recommendation from a business close by. The most recent visit was great too! We ordered the Chicken Kothu Parotta and two varieties of Dosa which were all delicious! The food is really tasty and filling... We had trouble finishing all the food even though we came hungry. Ordering system by calling for assistance from the table works great. The restaurant has ample comfy seating and a nice atmosphere with a feature plant wall saying, "From India with Love", that is beautiful for photo ops. Thanks for another great experience! We'll be back.

Very tatsy food. We loved parotha with chicken curry, Ghee Dosa and Veg Kothu parotha. Idli was soft but taste was ok. Coffee was very tasty. The lady working there, adjusted the coffee as per our requirements and taste.

Ordered a tomato onion uttapam for takeout from Jayalakshmi, and the experience was pretty solid overall. The service was fast, with my order ready in just about 10 minutes, and the restaurant itself looked clean and well-maintained. The lady behind the counter was warm, and welcoming, which added a nice personal touch. The uttapam was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The only drawback for me was the sambhar, which I found too spicy. I couldn’t finish the bowl even after diluting it a bit. That said, I know it really comes down to personal preference — while I prefer medium spice, those who enjoy food on the spicier, hotter side will definitely love it. Overall, great food, quick service, and a nice vibe — I’ll be back to try more dishes!

The food was amazing, especially the kothu porotta which was juicy. We noticed that the chicken in both the other porotta and Chicken 65 Biriyani were very moist juicy and flavourful. We also ordered porotta which was a family favorite alongside mutton pepper fry. My personal favorite was the paneer masala dosa followed by the kothu porotta by a close second. The masala in the paneer masala dosa was very flavourful, and the dosa was light and flavourful making the combination fantastic. Even the sides that came along with the dosa were remarkable, the sambar was really good. I would definitely recommend this to people who want to try great authentic great quality South Indian food.

A large group of us showed up for lunch and it was amazing. Great service, great food. Fresh, plentiful and well-priced. We kept them busy and they were awesome.This will be a go-to place for me from now on

The food was amazing! Me and my friend crushed the Family Dosa which is meant for more than 3 people but what really made the experience special was ASHLEY. She was super caring, generous, and made us feel so welcome. Big thanks to her for the great service!
